BS1500 INTRODUCTION TO BIBLICAL STUDIES Designed to provide a general introduction to critical study of the Bible. The modern, exegetical approaches will be examined, and related to, study of the Bible, considering its origins, forms, settings, and uses. As a result of this course the student should be able to engage the Bible, conscientiously and critically, and begin to understand the ancient Israelite and Christian traditions in their respective contexts.
